Millions of animals suffer and die for people's taste buds every day.
We know this suffering can be prevented if only people knew and understood
the alternatives. Our goal is educate as many people as possible about vegetarian foods and lifestyle so that they will have the knowledge they
need to make compassionate choices.
The Vancouver Vegetarian Association is taking huge steps forward towards our goal:
- We recently opened a Vegetarian Resource Centre on Commercial Drive to provide information and resources for vegetarians and people interested in becoming vegetarian.
- We are creating commercials and educational videos to increase awareness about vegetarian foods and nutrition (click here to watch our videos).
- We have created an in-depth guide of vegetarian restaurants, stores and organizations.
- We have several online resources containing answers to the most pressing questions related animal rights and vegetarianism.
- We distribute literature at popular festivals and events in the city.
- We host many social events for vegetarians.

None of our accomplishments would be possible without the generous financial support of compassionate individuals such as yourself. All of the materials and
handouts for our nutrition courses and other projects are provided to the public free of charge. We need your support in order to continue making this important
information available. The animals are counting on us!
